so...today was our first official day of DC-ing. It was a really fun time, but now i am tired to he maximum extent. here is what was on the rout for today: national cathedral, embassy row (rae's favorite), white house (at least looking at it), all of the monuments/memorials sans Jefferson, the national art gallery, and the air and space museum. the most notable thngs of the day were... *drum roll please* (in chronological order mostly...) 1. the moon rock in the national cathedral 2. the odd empty embassies on embassy row 3. the protesters outside the whitehouse 4. the south lawn of the white house being closed off (i think i got a picture of president obama lol) 5. the korean soldiers touring the korean war memorial 6. the sheer awesomeness of the WWII memorial 7. the georgia o'keefe paintings at the art museum 8. ...along with just all of the awesome modern art (which i loved loved loved) 9. all of the apollo space stuff, it was too legit to quit oh and i almost forgot 10. the awesomesauce vegetarian indian restaurant for dinner and i would like to note the grace of God in that we were not victims of the red line metro crash today...we rode that train earlier in the day my prayers are with those effected by the accident. -Andrea
